The quick pump I bought works great, helps out lots for our camping blow up beds and my SeaHawk raft. Save me lots of work so I don't have to blow up anything just grab my quick pump and go camping.
I bought this pump with my second kayak. I used it once to inflate the kayak and it stopped working. Living in a rural area, the cost of returning it for repair or replacement was more than the cost of buying a new one. Use a hand or foot pump; it's cheaper.
I bought this to blow up my new inflatable kayak with as it was suggested by the kayak company. Unfortunately it does not have the power to blow it up completely so had to but a double action hand pump for large inflatables as well(Walmart $10) to fully inflate it. This would have done the job easily without the Coleman pump, and it doesn't require recharging, new battery every so often, etc. So if I had it to do over and knew what I know now, I wouldn't have spent the $$ on this pump.
Safer for kids to use - no power cords accidently running thru water. I've had this pump for 9 months and have used it to inflate air mattresses of all sizes (2 to 4 mins time), pool toys, soccer equipment, swimming pool bumper, etc. Has a nice variety of expanders & contractors to change air flow size - haven't had to rig up any extras out of my turkey baster lately. Charge the pump and eliminate stringing extension cords across the yard/house to reach the item needing inflated. Pump holds a charge for an hour or more of air & keeps charged in the closet while not being used. The pump is useful for a variety of tasks, lightweight, nicely balanced, and eliminates the need for disposable batteries. Overall, great choice.
We bought this item because it was taking us as long to blow up our little boat by hand as we had to actually spend out on the lake in it. Unfortunately this little pump isn't really any faster. It is nice to not be completely exhausted and sweating before we even put the boat in the water but it's pretty loud so it can be a bit awkward to sit on the dock for 30 minutes blowing up our boat with something that sounds like a generator. On the other hand the reverse feature is awesome, it's so nice to be able to wash the boat down, wipe it off and literally SUCK the air out of it instead of having to roll around on it trying to deflate the last little bubbles of air in three different chambers.
